On Friday, 3 June 2016, six FC Kuala Lumpur teams travelled to Thailand for the Bangkok International Super Cup. Competing across five age-groups, they faced tough competition from regional academies, including teams from Singapore, Thailand and Hong Kong. But the FCKL squad more than held their own, fighting through to the Cup competitions in the U12 and U16 age-groups, the Plate tournament for the U11, U10 and U8 teams, and the Bowl for the U14s.
In the end, FC Kuala Lumpur walked away with a third place overall (U12), a fourth place overall (U16), a 2nd place in the Bowl (U14s) and three solid finishes in the Plate.
